About Chris

Chris Stauffer is an 19 year old, self-taught web designer, developer, and graphic artist.

Chris' graphic design career started when he was introduced to Adobe Photoshop while he was in junior high, at the age of 12. He started out by teaching himself how to make cool desktop wallpapers using free tutorial sites he found online, similar to the popular Good-Tutorials.com.

With hopes to kick start his freelance work, Chris launched his first online portfolio (chrisstauffer.net) in 2005. Although it mainly served as a showcase of Chris' work, it did bring in a few odd jobs (usually for little or no pay.) His first "real" graphic design job came when he was hired on a freelance basis by a company called Performa. Besides the occasional bumper sticker, Chris mainly designed spirit wear for local high school teams.

In August of 2007 Chris was hired by Wrap It Up! Vehicle Wraps as a part-time graphic design intern. After working at that for several months the full time artist left the company. Rather than hiring somebody else they asked Chris to become their full time graphic artist.

After nearly 11 months in June of 2008, Chris decided to leave Wrap It Up when he was offered a position at Webphibian, a local web design firm. A few months later Chris enrolled at JCCC to take his general classes with the intention to transfer to a four-year art institute.

Most recently Chris left Webphibian with plans to pursue his freelance work on a full time basis, which will hopefully allow for more time to focus on his school work
